The Southern Belle Blogs

In Raleigh, there is always an abundance of festivals for any culture. Greek, Mexican, etc. Since I was determined to minor in Spanish, a decision which I changed recently, with only three classes left to take, I had decided that attending the 14 Annual La Fiesta Del Pueblo, would be a fun thing to do one Saturday with a friend of mine. Let’s just say that I probably would not be returning. For the cost of getting in, I should not have have to pay 7$ for a Non-alcoholic drink. The chicken was delicious, even though I was starving. It was a fun day, but a bit of a waste of money for the 1 1/2 hours we stayed. Still, it was for a good cause, so I can only complain so much.

In other news, I plan on doing another blog, one with perhaps a recipe, because I feel like cooking sometime this week. Have a lovely day.

The Friday Five
1. What’s the most strange thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? The hippie that walked along the main street wearing girl’s clothing.

2. What’s the most obvious thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? That is it a little too cold for me to be wearing flip flops (like I couldn’t tell when my feet turned blue)
3. What’s the most miserable thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? That we all age and die.
4. What’s the most extraordinary thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? The full rainbow that my mom pointed out to me one day, we could see every inch of it, shining brightly.
5. What’s the greatest thing that anyone has ever pointed out to you? That no matter how tough things may get, they will always get better eventually. Just keep your head up and believe that it will get better.

As my mom and I have decided that dial-up, the only type of internet that would reach our house, is rather pointless, we have been without internet at my house for a little under a year. Which means, that the moment I leave campus tomorrow, I will not have access until Saturday/Sunday when I return. Instead of posting a Thanksgiving post, I will have that for when I return. Instead, I will talk a little bit about the Raleigh International Festival that was November 3/3. It was a lot of fun and I stuffed myself with food.

Chocolate French Crepe and Momos from Nepal.

Green Tea Ice Cream, my favorite from the festival.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and eat lots of delicious food!!
