A few week ago, I was bored. I was hungry. What I wanted most of all was a cupcake. Unfortunately, it was a Monday. Which meant that the Cupcake Shoppe Bakery was closed. In a fit on panic, I raced over to Cafe Carolina & Bakery. I had never been there before. Unless I have a severe cupcake craving, I doubt I will go back.
Don’t get me wrong, the cupcake was delicious. There were two flavors. Chocolate & Vanilla. I chose chocolate. The cake was moist, the icing creamy and just sweet enough, but not overwhelming sweet. However, the problem was with my Chai Latte. I love Chai. But this, my friends, did not taste anything like Chai. It tasted exactly like hot milk. Now, I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and say that maybe they forgot to include something. But at the money it cost me, it wasn’t worth just throwing it in the trash.
Maybe I will go back. Try some food. Eat another cupcake. But no coffee will grace my body from there.

Ohhh doesn’t that totally stink when you pay good money for something you are totally looking forward to, only to have it STINK! I always remain quet about it, but I know I have to stand up for myself more!
Mmm…cupcakes do sound good right now!

Hi!
(celestejedora) and I’m your swap partner.
I’m Celes
I loved the coffee and the cake! Unfortunately we don’t have them here in Argentina, but maybe I could find the recipe and do them myself.
Thanks for joining my swap!
Bye from Argentina

sad to pay good money for a poor excuse of a drink! Oh well, maybe you just got a new person who didn’t know how to make the drink right…anywho, better luck next time (if there is a next time…)
Thanks for visiting my blog, by-the-way! See you around in blog-world

I saw your blog on Celes site and had to comment on the cupcakes! I watched Samantha Who last night and it was all about cupcakes
. It was cute. They’d sit infront of the cupcake store just to smell them which was as good as eating them LOL. I added you to my site – I enjoy your blogging.

Whoa, does this mean you live in Raleigh? Too weird. Before we came to Kansas, we lived in Chapel Hill. My partner’s family is in Raleigh, and I’ve been to that bakery. It was okay.

Sonya — I love cupcakes. They are my fetish!
Jenny — Yeah, I`m going to NC State right now. I`m hoping to try the other location, maybe it`ll be better.

It is the worst to get bad coffee no matter how good the baked goods are. One of my favorite bakeries in Seattle has terrible coffee–I’ll buy stuff there then go next door to Starbucks to get better coffee! And this is in Seattle–c’mon, get your coffee right!
