Even though my birthday was a few days ago, I can still bask in the afterglow, right? This year’s birthday was 100x better than last year’s (my 21st). I just felt so much love from everyone this year.
My mom drove 2 1/2 hours down, and just seeing her made me so happy, that it kind of cemented my urge to move back home. But that’s another post.

We ate at Golden Corall, because I had been craving their rolls with honey butter for weeks! We even brought in my presents so I could open them. I had a card from my mom, my mom’s boyfriend, and my grandma. My mom gave me a spice rack and Jessica Seinfeld’s “Deceptively Delicious.”

Then my mom and I rode around, visiting Halloween shops, boot stores (I`m looking for a great pair of cowboy boots), and various malls. It was a great time! I was sad to see her leave. She also bought me a few more things from a couple of stores. We even made a worker at American Eagle take a dress off of a mannequin because it was the only size that fit me!
When I got home, I saw these outside of my door:

I was tickled to death that my roommate had gone out of her way to get my balloons!! It made my day so much better!

I still had some time before I was meeting my friend for sushi, so I took a picture of the cupcakes my mom made me, as well as everything that was bought during the day (barrette devil horns, feathered eye lashes, AE dress, AE belt, Zombie drink label)…

All in all, it was a great day, even with the rainy weather!
My loving boyfriend turned 20 yesterday. I hope he had a great one. His party actually started the 9th, with a lot of drinking (not on my part). Unfortunately, I have been sick the past two days. I`m feeling better right now, if not for a runny/stuffed nose, cough and throat hurting. I also have a debate to give at 11:45 that i`m still writing. *Gulp*
I skipped classes yesterday to rest up before work. God, yesterday was the first time I ever actually dreaded going to that job. It was rainy, cold and I just didn’t feel good. My supervisor did say I could go home, but I didn’t. I made cupcakes at the boyfriends, I hope they tasted good. I can’t taste anything.
The 42nd Street Oyster Bar was great. It was so spacious inside of it, even though the parking lot was jammed packed. We got the fried cajin oysters, and I definitely recommend them because they were just melt in your mouth. Best one’s I’d ever had.
Salad was good, they made the 1000 Island themselves. Baked potato was good. I ate one bite of my steak (yea, we both got steak at a seafood place), and I was done. I just didn’t feel well at all. I did give the boyfriend his present. 2 tickets to 3 Doors Down next Tuesday. I came backĀ to his place, slept some, took like 5 burning hot showers so I would stop shivering, and played two games of beer pong (I drank orange juice).
The boyfriend said he had an awesome birthday and that he really loved me and was almost getting teary eyed. But that could have been the Jack Daniels’ talking.
I just discovered that the degree I am absolutely applying for (liberal studies), does not require taking the GRE.
The school just paid me $1088 in the leftover financial aid money, which I will use to take my boyfriend to the 42nd Street Oyster Bar tomorrow for his birthday (we will finally be the same age, if only for 1 month and 2 days).
I got paid on Friday from work $164.14.
It’s been a good day.
